Today's UPDATES
Very good news to start of the post, I finally saw Marvel Studios' Ant-Man and The Wasp in theaters. After four long weeks of waiting for my sister to take me, she finally look last Friday afternoon, and now I can finally say what I think about the movie, but not before we deal with a sort-of-short Max Sports rundown. We are discussing the ongoing saga in NBA Free Agency this season, for just last Friday, the Houston Rockets re-sign its center player Clint Capela to a five-year, $90 million dollar extension deal. The deal is considered to be a win-win for both Capela and the Rockets because the latter of which was risking to have Capela become an unrestricted free agent in 2019, had he signed an one-year qualifying offer. But instead, the center player opted for the security of a long term deal, and now the Rockets have him for five more years and of course they going to need to him they want to challenge the Golden State Warriors in the NBA Western Conference. Hopefully, we will have another free agency story later in the week, but for now comes a recap of MLB results from this current and weekend and more updates on NBA Free Agency.

The deal between The Walt Disney Company and 21st Century Fox is getting closer and closer to being to becoming an reality. Today's #TwitterTrend covers a new developing story about the merger between the two companies and this one is going to leave fans both Fox and Disney jumping for joy. Many media outlets have confirmed that 21st Century Fox Inc. and Disney shareholders have approved the $71.3 billion sale of Fox’s entertainment assets last Friday, and that means that one of the biggest media mergers in history is nearing completion. With the purchase of Fox approved by shareholders, it is now safe to say that the much-discussed buy-out will be taking full affect in the coming months if not years, but of course there are a few things that we should be worried. What everyone is most excited about this this deal is that includes the Fox-owned Marvel characters like the X-Men, Fantastic Four and Deadpool and they will be soon be introduced into the ever-growing Marvel Cinematic Universe. But what other fans are most worried about is that it could be an end to adult ratings and creativity from Fox, for as you than that the Deadpool movies a couple of Fox movies are Rated-R, while Disney makes movies rated no higher than PG-13. For mor this, check the tweets down below which explain people's expression about the indeping merger deal that could change Movie and TV Entertainment forever.

Dear
21st Century Fox/Disney. PLEASE make the
next Deadpool film be "Deadpool kills the Marvel/Fox Universe" and
just have that fool merc EVRYBODY from F4 to the X-Men to make way for the
merger. Please, for the CULTURE.

Disney/Fox
merger!
The FANTASTIC FOUR we’ve all been waiting for. Feige has more than
proven he’ll deliver a vision that will thrill us all, honoring Jack &
Stan’s incredible run of characters & concepts!
A re-vamped X- Men.
DEADPOOL/SPIDER
MAN on film, together!
DARK PHOENIX IS NOT CANCELLED @kingjenlaw
The
Disney/Fox deal means:
- Less
creative variety.
-
Disney now owns the highest grossing movie.
- The
loss of 1000s of jobs.
- Any
pre-production Fox project likely being scrapped.
-
X-Men reboot (AGAIN)
- Who
knows what will happen to Deadpool.
- No
more risky/fresh projects.

Dark
Phoenix and New Mutants are still happening.
X-Force, Gambit, X-23, Doom,
Silver Surfer? Nope.
esther @Shnurffle
I
really hope they keep some of the same actors. Ryan Reynolds has to be
Deadpool. Cannot change that without a HUGE amount of backlash. I really liked
Dafne Keen as X-23 and I hope they give her a solo movie.

Only
viewing the Fox/Disney merger through what it means for Marvel is still super
gross, guys!

tiny
brain: disney buying fox means a unified marvel cinematic universe!
big brain:
disney buying fox means further consolidation of a monopolistic media landscape
galaxy brain: disney buying fox means we're one step closer to a Spider-Man
2099 corporatist cyberpunk dystopia
Daniel Patterson @dpatt0
The
whole Disney/Fox merger is kinda scary from a monopolisation perspective.
If
we’re looking at Marvel properties, I don’t think we’re gonna get films as bad
as Origins or Fant4stic, but we’re also not gonna get anything as creatively
driven as Logan or First Class.
GodzillaMendoza @GodzillaMendoza
Yayyyyy,
the industry will be run by a monopoly that will crush competition and reduce
new ideas at every turn for sake of maintaining the Disney formula for box
office success!
But at least Deadpool can fondle Thor in a movie now

After
the Fox deal, a Disney streaming service in 2019 could include:
- All
of Marvel
- Star
Wars
-
Disney animation
-
Disney live action
-
Pixar
- Avatar
- The
Simpsons
- FX
- ABC
-
Indiana Jones
-

If
content truly is king then good luck everybody else.
Finally today, this paragraph may contains spoilers for those who have not yet seen Ant-Man and The Wasp, viewers' fear of knowledge is advised. Ant-Man and The Wasp was the film I have been waiting all summer long, and other than the incredible scenes of The Wasp played by Evangeline Lily, my second favorite thing about the movie was The Ghost played by Hannah John-Kamen. She is one of the few MCU villains with an incredible backstory, [Killmonger's was the best], and one of few who have not died in the movies, now we wonder if we will ever see her again in her MCU films. As some of you are all aware Ant-man and The Wasp was taking place during the events of Avengers: Infinity War and it was nice to see how events of Captain America: Civil War took their toll on Scott Lang and all the people in his life including Hank Pym and Hope van Dyne, but in the end they were able to patch things up and help return Hank's wife Janet van Dyne from the quantum realm. Now we move on to the film of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is Captain Marvel followed by Avengers 4 and we have a lot of time to figure how those film is gonna go, but in the meantime, here is a mini Web Choice playlist of some special features from Avengers: Infinity War's DVD set.
