#fakeTV FRiDAY

I'm betting that everyone had a wonderful 4th of July last Wednesday, mine turned out greater than it did last year and the year before. I cleaned off the grill, and then I my mom and me had our own private BBQ, then we got to see in the fireworks outside on our street and they look absolutely beautiful. For people outside the United States, the way for them to celebrate the summer holidays is watch their country compete in the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia as the Quarterfinals of the Knockout Stage starts today. In a quick Max Sports recap, Uruguay beat Portugal in the Round of of 16 and will now take on France who had previously beaten Argentina, Brazil, who is looking for redemption after losing badly in the 2014 World Cup, will take on Belgium today. Then tomorrow, the action will continue with Russia who pulled off a shocker over Spain will take on Croatia, and Sweden who defeated its rival Switzerland in the Round of 16 will now have its hands full with England. It's has become a who's who about who will advance much close to the World Cup Final on the 16th of July, but whatever the outcome brings, we're sure to have a great matchup for the Final match and one country will celebrate all summer long with the World Cup trophy. See all the matchups for the World Cup quarterfinals along with the results of MLB games from the past two days and a look at the NBA Free Agency Tracker.

To me, the 4th of July Holiday has only just begun, because #fakeTV is getting everyone hype for what's now in theaters on this Sixth of July: Marvel Studios' Ant-Man and The Wasp. At long last, we will the Wasp in all of her glory on the big screen, hopefully I will see it sometime this weekend, wither tomorrow or Sunday. It's a darn shame that we did not get to see Ant-Man and The Wasp in Avengers: Infinity War, but for a very good reason: Actress Evangeline Lilly stated that "her character  [Hope van Dyne] would not appear in Avengers: Infinity War in order to preserve her reveal as the Wasp in the sequel to Ant-Man." How right she was, Marvel Studios have been planning to put Wasp in the MCU for years, they planned on doing it in the 2012 Avengers film but that didn't, in early stages of Captain America: Civil War, the planning to have Wasp become part of that movie as well along with Ant-Man. But director Peyton Reed claimed that he was not too please with Anthony and Joe Russo adding Ant-Man to Civil War, in which he made his MCU debut as Giant-Man, and Reed also said putting Wasp in Civil War and probably Infinity War would not having given the proper time to shine. Marvel's newest film is already a big success regardless of how it took to get The Wasp on the big screen and soon we'll all see how she fits into the MCU in the near future. You can see what the new movie stands in today's Top Ten List, plus a lot of other things that happen this week that made the list instantly.
