Today's UPDATES

The MLB is in the midst of its third month of its 2018 Season and just last week was the 2018 MLB Draft which is the subject of today's Max Sports rundown. The #1 Pick went to the Detroit Tigers who selected pitcher Casey Mize from Auburn, then with the #2 Pick, the San Francisco Giants selected catcher Joey Bart from Georgia Tech, and the Philadelphia Phillies selected third baseman Alec Bohm from Wichita State with the #3 Draft pick. Many teams who are in the dumps right now in the season could use a new player to help boost their lineups, and it seems that they have done just that, the Chicago White Sox, with the #4 Pick were able to grab Nick Madrigal, a shortstop from Oregon State, the #5 Pick went to the Cincinnati Reds who acquired third baseman Jonathan India from the University of Florida, and the New York Mets, with their #6 Pick chose Outfielder Jarred Kelenic from Waukesha West High School. The thing surprises me the most about this Draft order is that a lot of teams selected a rookie from a high school and not a college, I had no idea that baseball players can be drafted to the MLB via a high school as much as any college in the country. Rounding out the last four of the top ten draft selections, pitcher Ryan Weathers from Loretto High School was drafted by the San Diego Padres as the #7 Pick, pitcher Carter Stewart from Eau Gallie High School was #8 and selected by the Atlanta Braves, then the Oakland Athletics picked outfielder Kyler Murray from Oklahoma at #9, and the Pittsburgh Pirates with the #10 selected outfielder Travis Swaggerty from South Alabama. Only time will tell when each of the ten teams will use these new players later in the season or maybe the next one, but they will have to use them very carefully if they want to get back in the game, meanwhile, here are new results from last night's MLB games and  from an explosive episode of WWE Monday Night Raw before Money in the Bank.

Two years ago today, all of America was shaken to its core when a 29-year-old security guard killed 49 people and wounded 53 others in a terrorist attack inside Pulse, a gay nightclub in Orlando, Florida. The club was hosting a "Latin Night" which means that most of the victims were Latinos, and it's been a shame that there were also LGBT people were caught in the middle of the shooting, some of which are dead now. The Orlando nightclub shooting is the most deadliest incident of violence against LGBT people in U.S. history, and the deadliest terrorist attack in the U.S. since the September 11, 2001 attacks. But moving to something a bit more lighter on the subject, we are all remembering the 49 lives that were lost on that fateful night and today's #TwitterTrend will do so as well, what happened two years was considered to be the most deadliest mass shooting by a single shooter in the United States, but that record was soon broken by the Las Vegas Shooting last October. However this day is all about the Orlando victims and those were survived the shooting but were still affected by it emotionally, people across the country and around the world are remembering the victims and honoring them live love and support. So without further ado, take a look at these tweets which speak the right message about this situation which is two years in the making.

Two years ago in Orlando, we lost 49 lives in one of the worst domestic terrorist acts in our nation's history. An act fueled by hate & enabled by the gun lobby. Let us remember their lives & fight for a nation free of hate towards #LGBTQ & free of gun violence. #Pride #Pulse

Two years ago today, 49 people - mostly LGBT and Latino - were murdered at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando. It was the single biggest mass murder of LGBT people in US history. Vigils were held around the world. Thousands attended one in London the next day.

We still remember.

Two years ago, 49 people were killed in a shooting at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando. Since then, there have been more than 150 shootings in just the five miles around the nightclub.

The news that IHOP will now be called IHOb, the International House of Burgers is going viral across social media and the rest of the internet. Some people like it and some of them hate it, even other burger restaurants like Burger King and Wendy's are roasting this new approach to the formerly International House of Pancakes, despite the fact it will still be serve pancakes for breakfast. Celebrities are taking shots at the new name such as Daily Show correspondent Roy Wood Jr. who said on twitter: "Does this mean Burger King will now become Pancake King?" The decision for IHOP to rebrand itself around burgers has a lot of people sending lost pitches to the Burger King restaurant chain and some of them are not too great, but we will all have to get use to this sort of change since President Darren Rebelez revealed in a press release that the change will "celebrate the debut of the brand's new Ultimate Steakburgers, a line-up of seven mouth-watering, all-natural burgers." For more on this developing story, I now present a new Web Choice playlist surrounding lots of media outlets who were honest enough to share their thoughts on the new change of direction for the International restaurant chain.
