Today's Updates, 5/20/2018

First up, a word from Jimmy Kimmel.

A beautiful video by Jimmy Kimmel and it goes to show that we are facing some dark times day after day after day, and all it takes is a gun to make that happen. #JustSoYOUKnow, I have had enough of these situations and I grown of tried of repeating myself over and over again. I try to avoid deadly mass shootings or terrorist attacks, but when I am drawn to how many lives are lost and what age the victims are, I fee that it's only right to speak directly to the victims and tell them that I am here to support them. People say that thoughts and prayers aren't good enough in this world and those people are right, and thanks goodness I have not heard a gun debate since Friday. But if there is something that we should debate is the fact that no law makers, politicians, or congressmen are willing to do even the smallest of things to prevent an incident like this from happening. These people are mostly from the Republican Party who are in control of all of Washington, D.C. and have not delivered on their promise for Gun Control in America, which means the only way to stick it right to them is to vote them out of office on November 6th. But May 18th will not go down as just the day that Deadpool 2, a movie that involves a lot of gun violence in its scenes, but as the day that ten lives were lost and thirteen more are injured in the terrible shooting at Santa Fe High School in Texas. It's quite fitting that there a group of organizers that have dealt with this before, and I am referring to the students of Stoneman Douglas High School who start the #NeverAgain movement and March For Our Lives in response to their school shooting. They had stated to the Santa Fe victims "we are with you", and urged people there to remember this school shooting for years to come and "not to sweep it under the rug. This is not the price of our freedom ... tragedies like this will continue to happen unless action is taken." Only time will tell if action will finally be taken,, but we cannot wait for these things to happen, we must do something ourselves to make it happen. #TexasStong

Here is a look into the NBA and Stanley Cup Playoff in a special Max Sports rundown. The Cleveland Cavaliers had their backs against a very big wall that was built by the Boston Celtics who won the first two games of the Eastern Conference Finals on their home court. So the Cavs had to win last night on their home court to stay alive and they did just that, LeBron James led his team to victory recorded another playoff double-double with 27 points and 12 assists, the Cavs held the Celtics to seventeen points in the first quarter and made 32 of their own in that quarter. This would all led to the Cavs winning Game three by 30 points with the final score being 116-86, but it looks the Cavs will have to do it all over again in Game 4 Monday in order to tie the series. Tonight in the Western Conference Finals, it's Game 3 the Houston Rockets and Golden State Warriors, there's no telling what will happen tin this Game as the Rocks are the clear underdogs and the Dubs are feeling right at home in Oakland and not lost on their home court in the playoffs since they'd acquired Kevin Durant, the Rocks will have to give it all they've got to take a 2-1 series lead. We are now entering the Win Or Go Home state in the Stanley Cup Playoffs with the Tampa Bay Lightning and Vegas Golden Knights taking a commanding lead over their respective opponents. It's going to be unusual matchup in the Stanley Cup Final if these teams advance there, but it would be history making for the Golden Knights if they can make it there in their very first season in the NHL. Our #TwitterTrend today continues the story of last Thursday's CW Upfront Presentation in New York City. This was where Arrow star Stephen Amell announced that there will be another crossover event between the following four DC shows: Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow, Arrow and The Flash. But this time around, it will introduce a brand new hero into the fray, for every year, these crossovers on The CW introduced some great characters in the Arrowverse such as Hawkgirl, Hawkman and The Ray, so fans will be happy to know that a member of the Batman family is on their way to team up with the Legends, Supergirl, Green Arrow and The Flash, and that person is Batwoman. Now to give a long but brief history, Batwoman began appearing as Kathy Kane in the DC Comics beginning with the Detective Comics in 1956, in which she was introduced as a love interest for Batman. She was then reimagined in the DC Comics' New 53 series as as a Jewish lesbian, it's a wonder which woman she is going to kiss in the crossover event this year. Batwoman has made appearance on TV in the animated series Batman: The Brave and the Bold, which aired on Cartoon Network in 2008. One of my all time favorite appearances of Batwoman was the 2003 direct-to-video animated film "Batman: Mystery of the Batwoman", she was also in cameo in Batman vs. Robin before appearing in 2016 film Batman: Bad Blood. Fand have been speculating as to who should play Batwoman, luckily we have plenty of time to find out to will take the lead and the team behind this crossover will have to work extra hard as to finding the right actress. It's that time again to see how fans are reacting to all of this.

The CW put on another great Upfront Presentation this year, announcing all of its new shows such as, Legacies, All American, Roswell, New Mexico, In the Dark and the rebooted version of Charmed. The latter of five will premiere Sundays this Fall following Supergirl in The CW's New Sunday Night block, and despite the all the mixed reactions this fresh and new take on the female-led supernatural dramedy is getting, I think it can make a good run on The CW for years to come and it has plenty of time to win over its audience and silence all the Trolls out there. The CW was able to show a first look trailer of the 2018 Charmed series which looks amazing if you look at it over and over again, but to be fair, it's best to know what fans feel about it, and how to they fell about the other new shows coming to The CW during the 2018-19 TV season. So I have come up with both a Web Choice photo gallery and playlist that showcases everything to the viewers of #KlicKNet who expect big big from the young adult programming network this fall.
