Today's UPDATES

Yesterday seemed like a day of good news and it was, but on the other hand there was some bad news along the way. Max Sports can now confirmed that the Vegas Golden Knights are going to the Stanley Cup Playoffs and they are the first team to make the playoffs in their inaugural season in the NHL since the Hartford Whalers and the Edmonton Oilers of the 1979–80 seasonThe Golden Knights also became the first expansion team to make the playoffs in their inaugural season since the 1967 NHL expansion, it is amazing as to how far this team has come in only one season which just happens to be their first one ever. In case I didn't already mentioned this before, other teams to have made the Stanley Cup Playoffs this year are the Boston Bruins, Tampa Bay Lightning, Nashville Predators, and just this week the Winnipeg Jets. The NCAA Final Four is headed to the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas this Saturday and one of the four following teams will walk out of the Dome National Champions: first, will the the good luck of the Loyola Ramblers paid off for them and can they become the first 11-seeded team to win the National Champion? The Michigan Wolverines have not won the title since 1989, twenty-nine years later they look to win it all again, then we have two #1 seed teams in a game where one shall stand and one shall fall, but in the end either the Kansas Jayhawks or Villanova Wildcats will get one step closer to the National Championship. Time to check out the game results from last night and see the schedule for the Final Four Saturday.

God, My God, Oh My God, look what's storming up the Twittersphere as we speak, and this is a big one. Marvel Studios' upcoming film before Avengers 4, Captain Marvel in currently in production and the cast is totally and completely LIT. Yesterday Marvel.com revealed that the new film starring Brie Larson, is not only set within the 1990s, but it will also included two MCU alumnis in Lee Pace and Djimon Hounsou who will reprise their roles from the first Guardians of the Galaxy movie as Ronan the Accuser and Korath the Pursuer. But that NOT ALL, after seven years away from the Marvel Big Screen, Clark Gregg, best known for playing the fan-favorite Agent Phil Coulson in The Avengers and Marvel's Agents of SHIELD, will reprise his role in Captain Marvel. Since the film takes place in the '90s and right before Tony Stark became Iron Man, we might get to see how Coulson met Nick Fury in his early days in SHIELD and I for one cannot wait to see that. As for Brie Larson, playing the role of Carol Danvers will be much more difficult than playing Captain Marvel as the former is an U.S. Air Force pilot, so Larson payed a visit to Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada and met up with 57th Wing Commander and Brigadier General Jeannie Leavitt to prepare for the role. Production for the film will be shot in places like Fresno, California and many places in Louisiana such as Baton Rouge and New Orleans, and the cast has been rounded up with the previously announced actors Samuel L. Jackson, Ben Mendelsohn, Jude Law, Gemma Chan and Lashana Lynch who will take over the role left by DeWanda Wise. This has made a wonderful #TwitterTrend for today, and we have plenty to tweets that show Marvel fans' reactions to how they feel about what's in stored for the powerful female superhero's first feature film.

Moving on to more Marvel News, Clips and Commercial Spots of Avengers: Infinity War has begun to show online and on TV. Yesterday, five new posters of film were released and I gotta say, they look even nicer than the ones released by Entertainment Weekly, the thing you have to like most about them is that they have a different group of heroes on them and a different color of the Infinity Stones: Red - Reality Stone, Blue - Space Stone, Green - Time Stone, Yellow - Mind Stone, and Purple - Power Stone. The Orange Soul Stone is still a mystery even when the film is set to debut in about thirty days, and I can guarantee that we will will see it in all of its glory once Infinity War is released. Some of us were really hoping that the the sixth stone would be revealed before the war, maybe in places like Thor: Ragnarok and Black Panther, but instead  Marvel Studios has decided to have the best kept secret for last as the Infinity War will the culmination of the saga that has lasted in only ten years. Web Choice is letting the readers of #KlicKNet get a closer look at those new batch of poster as well as new clips from the film, once of which debuted at the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards last Saturday night.
22 Heroes. 5 Posters. 1 Infinity War.
