Today's UPDATES

Does anyone feel a little sleepy after yesterday, because I don't, just two days removed from the March for Our Lives last Saturday, it feels like the whole country has been woken up, or at least some of it. With all of that now over with, let's focus on another Max Sports update, the 2018 NBA Playoffs aren't until next month, but we can report that a few more teams have clinched a spot. The defending Eastern Conference Cleveland Cavaliers have made the playoffs, along with the surprising surge of the Philadelphia 76ers and Indiana Pacers, seriously I did not think that the 76ers would ever get back into the playoffs, nit in a thousand years, but all of the hard work during the off season and regular season has finally paid off after years of disastrous seasons. One big news out of the NBA is that Basketball Champion and All-Star has a sprain MCL which would likely mean he will be out for the last remaining games of the season. Warriors Coach Steve Kerr said yesterday that his best player will not play during the first of the playoffs due to this sprain, and Curry has told reporters that he won't travel with the team for the remainder of the season, but he's still plans to make it for the playoffs, but that depends on whether or not the Warriors can make a long but great run come playoff time next month.  There's another professional team that will be making a splash during playoff time, but they're not in the NBA, in the NHL, the Vegas Golden Knights have a chance to make history tonight, by clinching a playoff berth in their inaugural season this week, they have many chances ti do it before in the past few days, but just can't seem to get there yet. They would be the third NHL expansion to make the playoffs in their very first season the the Whalers and Oilers did it decades ago. We will which teams from both the NBA and NHL play in postseason action very soon, but see what some of them went through in yesterday's games.

Avengers: Infinity War is about thirty days away from now and this past weekend, but we have learn some new things about the upcoming Marvel Studios film regarding one of the characters. It's been talked about for a very long time, but Actor Chris Evans, who has played Captain America since The First Avenger film in 2011, has now confirmed to many reporters that he is done playing the patriotic superhero and will end his run just after Avengers 4 is released next year. According to an interview with The New York Times, the actor has said that he has no plans to reprise his role and had but it best in his own words that "You want to get off the train before they push you off." I believe that statement means that Mr. Evans wants to quit to playing Cap on his own terms and while I very sadden to see that we will be any more Marvel movies, all I can say he has had one of the best runs in the Cinematic Universe other than Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man. Other people have shared their thoughts on this they don't seem a bit surprised themselves, but just like me they are all upset about it and wish that Mr. Evans could stay in the MCU for a little while longer, but with rumors swirling about the fate of Captain America in the next two Avengers film, one can only wonder if all of this will play out in the future. About those other people I mention, their tweets can be found here in today's #TwitterTrend, there are a few of one them which tell you what wild and crazy theories they have about the outcome for Cap in the third and fourth Avengers films.

@devfIames
"evans confirmed he has no plans to return to the mcu" nope suddenly I can't read!!!

Chris Evans says he’s done with the Marvel Cinematic Universe after “Avengers 4”. Disney (Buena Vista) clearly won’t be.

Collider @Collider
Chris Evans *mostly* confirms he's leaving the MCU after 'Avengers 4'

J.Michael Trautmann @JMACdaKID
Well, if Chris Evans is “getting off the train, before they push [him] off.” - that’s your answer to Cap’s fate in #InfinityWar - I understand wanting to control the narrative, but what a gut check.

Meg  🔪 Downey @rustypolished
Intellectually, I know that Chris Evans being done playing Cap really isn't that big of a deal but emotionally every time I'm reminded that it's even possible I'm immediately and irreconcilably devastated.

“before they push you off” @ChrisEvans you think too lowly of us, you could make 500 movies as Cap & nobody would be tired of you as him

Jehn @aka_Nuf
Chris Evans can't leave before we've had a happy movie of everyone being good friends and having game nights and such and also Bucky and Cap being ridiculously happy. That's the law.

Peter Sciretta @slashfilm
For anyone freaking out over Chris Evans saying Avengers 4 is his last marvel movie, remember that this doesn’t necessarily mean what you might think it could mean. I think marvels too crafty to allow him to spoil caps ending to the masses...

Peter Sciretta @slashfilm
What if Avengers 4 ends with Cap back in the past, reunited with Peggy and his ending is being returned to the past to live the rest of his days. It’s a way to remove him from the current era without killing him, allowing the possibility for Evans to come back down the line.

The Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards last Saturday were exactly what they had promised, filled with celebrities, blimps and slime. John Cena did a wonderful as host for a second consecutive year, and his Cena Family were right to support him. Nineteen orange blimp awards were given last Saturday, I can now confirm that only five of my predictions from last Fridays post came true, those being: Just Dance 2018 winning Favorite, SpongeBob winning Favorite Cartoon, Jace Norman for Favorite TV Actor, Fifth Harmony for Favorite Music Group, and JoJo Siwa who won Favorite Musical YouTube Creator. There were some people who I going to pick last week, but then changed my mind at the last seconds, I feel a little foolish for doing that, but congratulations to all to winners at the #KCAs. Stranger Things won two awards for Favorite TV Show and Favorite TV Actress which was won Millie Bobby Brown. Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle which drummed up $942.1 millon dollars at the box office and warmed the hearts of many kids and their family, won the Favorite Movie and Favorite Movie Actor thanks to the incredible performance by Dwayne Johnson. Leave it to The Rock to make something old make new again, I saw Jumanji on Christmas and it wasn't even suppose to be on my 2017 Movie Tour that I created on Twitter, but I still loved it. Elsewhere, the slime game in all kind of directions at the Kids Choice Awards and you never know when it's ever gonna spill or drop, but to see the best slime moments, Web Choice presents a playlist of many videos taken from the entire show.
