Today's UPDATES

It's the first day of March, which means that March Madness is on its way, and I do believe this time it will take no prisoners as sixty-eight NCAA teams compete for the National Championship. The NCAA Selection Sunday show will be on March 11th on CBS, the same night as WWE Fastlane, so it looks like for the next couple of weeks in March, we're heading two roads to greatness, one being NCAA Division I National Championship and the other being WrestleMania 34 in New Orleans. In fact the NCAA Title game will take place a week before WrestleMania so we'll have two amazing weeks of sports, including Opening Day in MLB Baseball. Now I'm not sure if I have already spoken about this before, but the NXT TakeOver will take place in New Orleans on April 7th, the night before WrestleMania. The highlight of that event is that there will be a Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic tournament with the winners earning a NXT Tag Team title shot at NXT TakeOver: New Orleans against the Bobby Fish and Kyle 'O Reilly of the Undisputed Era. We're going to have a busy first weekend of March as well, so to get everyone geared up for the Weekend Games, Max Sports is giving you every NBA and NHL game happening this weekend.

You can't start the weekend without a Top Ten List, courtesy of #KlicKNet. Every thursday, we highlight some of most surreal news topics of the week, and as always it's only the best subject that makes #1 on the top of the list. One of these topic has made the news mostly because of the terrible school shooting in Parkland, Florida, but rather than dive right into, you'll be happy be to know that tomorrow's return of #fakeTV will be violence. The Sporty File Olympics Special is almost finished and will launch tomorrow as planned and Kyrie came up with some comedic takes on the 2018 Olympics with some surprising twists to a few of them.

#10: NBC's new series Good Girls scored 5.98 million viewers during its series premiere

#09: Twitter plans to launch Bookmarks, a private way for people to save their tweets

#08: Norway won a total of thirty-nine medals at the 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang

#07: Saturday Night Live returns with host Charles Barkley and musical guest Migos.

#06: Red Sparrow starring Jennifer Lawrence will open in theaters everywhere tomorrow

#05: Paramount Network delays Heathers  out of respect for the Florida shooting victims

#04: Pizza Hut will replace Papa John's as the pizza sponsor for National Football League

#03: Kristen Wiig is reportedly in early talks to take the role of Cheetah in Wonder Woman 2

#02: Disney CEO Bob Iger announced a 2 Billion Euro Expansion Plan for Disneyland Paris

#01: Jimmy Kimmel hosts the 90th Annual Academy awards this Sunday night on ABC.

One of the interesting stories on the list just happen to be our #TwitterTrend for today, and it concerns the National Football League. Things have been shaking up in the NFL between the Philadelphia Eagles winning the Super Bowl for the first time in franchise history and the ongoing pursuit for teams to acquire Quarterback Kirk Cousins. Earlier last month, FOX Sports announced that it will own the rights to Thursday Night Football and will games on the FOX Broadcast Network starting this fall, probably on September 27th. The five-year agreement deal between NFL and Fox was pegged at $3.3 billion dollars and it also came with FOX broadcasting coverage of the first two night of the 2018 NFL Draft for the first time, carrying coverage simulcasted with NFL Network. Yesterday, the NFL made another big deal and it involves, just hours after longtime sponsor Papa John's decided to end their sponsorship deal with the League due to slumping sales on player protests, Pizza Hut came in at the minute as a replacement. So now, Pizza Hut will be the new Official Pizza beginning in April when the NFL Draft will be in the Northern part of Dallas, Texas, which is where global headquarters of Pizza Hut is located at. I think that this is amazing for those who would prefer Pizza Hut over Papa John's, that and there's a Pizza Hut near my house just three or four blocks down, and I can't to see how this new partnership will unfold this 2018 NFL season. For more reactions to the new deal, we now turn over to the tweeters of Twitter for their honest opinions.

NFL makes it official: press release announcing Pizza Hut as the new pizza sponsor. (note: Papa John's still has existing partnerships with 22 teams that it says it will continue.)
Darren Rovell @darrenrovell
JUST IN: Less than 14 hours after Papa John’s signs off as the official pizza of the NFL, @pizzahut swoops in. Papa John’s deal was set to go until 2020. Pizza Hut now has deal through 2021 season.
Keith Boykin @keithboykin
Papa John's stock lost one-third of its value since last June, which founder and former CEO John Schnatter blamed on NFL protests. Meanwhile, Pizza Hut's parent company stock, Yum!, grew 8% during the same time period. Now Pizza Hut is the new official pizza of the NFL.

NFL replaces CBS/NBC on Thursday Night Football with better deal from Fox. Now replaces @PapaJohns with better deal from @pizzahut. Tough news for "NFL's in decline" crowd..
