Today's UPDATES

Like I said from yesterday, "so much is going happen between now and WrestleMania and the Road to the Greatest Stage of them All is going along a lot faster than usual." It is now confirmed by Max Sports that John Cena had been added to the WWE Championship match at Fastlane one week from Sunday. John Cena came to SmackDown Live and requested that he be out into the match, hoping he would go to WrestleMania as a Seventeen-Time World Champion, and it looks like he's one step closer from achieving that. Last night, Cena defeated the WWE Champion AJ Styles in order to earn a spot in the match and so now we have a Six Pack Challenge, which means the Champion is even more danger of losing the championship. Meanwhile, the Cruiserweight Championship Tournament is still going on 205 Live, Cedric Alexander, TJP, Kalisto, Roderick Strong, Mark Andrews, Drew Gulak, Buddy Murphy and Mustafa Ali qualified for the Quarterfinal Round, and last night four of the went to battle to determine who moves on to the Semifinals. Cedric Alexander continue his pursuit for the championship after being the #1 Contender from before but could not contend for it since the title was vacant, he defeated TJP to move to the Semifinals and Rodrick Strong of NXT will meet him there after knocking off Kalisto last night. With all of these matches taking place, it's a wonder as to how they will shape up WrestleMania 34 in a couple of weeks, but we'll have more WWE news tomorrow, for now, your daily sports results.

I;m not sure if I have announced this before on #KlicKNet, but know is a good time to say that John Cena will be hosting the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards for a second year in a row. The event will take place on Saturday, March 24th, two weeks before WrestleMania, and yesterday the nominees where announced, but this time Nickelodeon is doing things a bit different this time with the voting process. According to a press release, "Nickelodeon will roll out a brand-new, four-week voting wave, where new categories will be revealed each week leading up to the show." These categories will be broken down into four groups: this week is Movies, next week is Music, the week after that will be Television, and the final week will involve Video Games and Superstars. Taylor Swift has the most nominations with three in music, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 has three in movies and Nickelodeon's hit show The Thundermans has three in television. One surprising nominee to me has to be Andrew Lincoln, for Favorite TV Actor, and he stars in AMC's The Walking Dead, so is a appropriate to have a star from an adult oriented in a category with much more younger actors. Another big surprise was The Simpsons being nominated for Favorite Cartoon for the first time since 2010, and that show is also adult oriented, but it's been a long time coming for this show to being involved for the KIds Choice Awards. More on the nominees can be found in today's Web Choice playlist, I'm just going to call it a playlist because it makes this segment of the post more interesting.

Our #TwitterTrend for today concerns the ongoing aftermath of the Parkland, Florida shooting that took place at the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School. Students there have gone back to school despite all of the emotional trauma they have been going through for the past few weeks, but they have to put a brave face learn to deal with the heartbreak no matter what. One of the students who were killed in the shooting went by the name of Joaquin Oliver, he was a massive Miami Heat fan, and this next part may sound too graphic for some, but he was buried in his favorite jersey with Dwyane Wade's name and number on it. It seems all too touching for a non-Miami Heat fan (like me) to learn about this, but we can all agree on one thing, that indents like the school shooting should not be tolerated any longer, the real life violence has to stop. NBA player Dwyane Wade has decided to dedicate the rest of the Heat's season to this Parkland victim and last night he scored twenty-seven points against the Philadelphia 76ers and nailed the game winning basket in the final seconds of the game, giving the Heat a 102-101 victory. You'll be happy to know that Wade had Joaquin's name written on the back heel of his new sneakers, so this has some Like Mike vibes to it because the Heat are currently in the 8th spot of the Eastern Conference, but it remains to be seen if the Heat can make it to the playoffs this year after missing the cut last year. To get some perspective on the tribute to the Parkland victim, we have reactions from others who were somewhat touched by this story.

It’s way BIGGER than basketball. We are the voices for the people that don’t get to be heard. Joaquin Oliver may you Rest In Peace and i dedicate my return and the rest of this Miami Heat season to you. 👐👐👐

Will Manso @WillManso
The amazing part of night is that it comes a day after Wade got emotional in talking about Joaquin Oliver, who was killed in the Parkland tragedy and was buried in a Wade jersey.  D-Wade dedicated rest of the season to him.  Then leads Miami to huge win.  Can’t write that script.

That’s what I’m talking about. @DwyaneWade #CarryTheLoveOfOthers #GameOver
