Today's UPDATES

I have never been so exhausted from my own birthday in the my entire life. First. my sister and me went to Manhattan to seen a special screening of a new movie which I don't think I'm allow to say, but this new movie gave some perspective on some inappropriate features of a human being and I realize should not do anything stupid growing up like I did in high school. Then after the movie, we went to Chipotle next door had me a mighty delicious burrito and some chips, then we went to Times Square for some sightseeing. We saw the New Year's Eve ball still on top of Times Square, the Good Morning America studio and the Total Request Live studio on the other side of the street, it would have been to be on TRL on MTV, but the tickets for yesterday's show was sold out and they had already gone taping. Soon after we came back home, my family got to together to take pictures of my birthday cake and balloons, we didn't cut the cake until after my mom and I got back eating dinner at Buffalo Wild Wings. Let me you this, that place is more epic than I could have ever imagine, we tried the House Sampler with Boneless Wings, Chips, Onion Rings and Mozzarella Sticks, and I had ordered one of the biggest burger I have ever seen. Once we got back home, I watch a little Legends of Tomorrow and Monday Night Raw, the latter of the two had one of the most longest matches in Raw history. In summary by Max Sports, A Gauntlet Match featuring the seven participants in the Men's Elimination Chamber match was the opening cout of Raw last night and it lasted almost two hours, that's because Seth Rollins lasted in the match for sixty-five minutes, he eliminated Roman Reigns and John Cena in two incredible performances before being eliminated by Elias. At the end, Braun Strowman won the the Gauntlet match having been the last and fresh entry going in and did what he does best, tear the house. He eliminated The Miz and made mince meat out of the Momtourage and then Braun Strowman sent a message to the Universal Champion Brock Lesnar, that we will be the one to win the Elimination Chamber and then he's coming for the Universal Title at WrestleMania. By the way the, I cut my cake and then call it a night, so that's how I spent my B-Day, now here's how I share the weekend's sports results with you.

Team LeBron beat Team Stephen in a stellar NBA All-Star Game, but it could a spark of change with in the league somewhere in the future. For our #TwitterTrend today, we going to be talking about the NBA Commissioner Adam Sliver and his annual All-Star conference over the past weekend. He spoke about how he wanted the NBA Playoff format to change, and a few years ago he came up with the idea to have the best sixteen teams with the best record overall in the league to play in postseason, regardless of what conference they are from. But that plan was scrapped completely because it would not balance things for the Eastern and Western Conferences, so Sliver revealed last weekend that he would like the Top 8 teams from each conference reseeded from 1-16. This way would lead to may possibilities such as more or less East vs East and West vs West matchups, and more East vs West matchups that would occur in any round of the playoffs. But the most important thing about this format is that the NBA is for the best two teams to compete in the NBA Finals regardless of what conference they are in, so other than East vs West in the Finals, would be able to see East vs East, or maybe even West vs West. I somewhat like this idea because it kinda like the NCAA Tournament where you have teams battle one another regardless of what conference that they come from, NBA could even rename the first playoff round to the Sweet 16. Rather or not, the league will vote on this is uncertain, so in the meantime, see what NBA fans have to say about it.

Adam Silver floated the idea of the NBA modifying its playoff build to 1-16 seeding in place of the current East-West format: https://t.co/tthHyqIPCW

Adam Silver hinted at the potential of 1-16 seeding in the playoffs down the road.

Here's what it would look like if the regular season ended today.

I would down with this type of system to be honest. It would put pressure on franchises to be better overall, not just in their conference which would equal better competition all around.

City of Champions @city_0f_champs
Wait so the Raptors and Sixers barely have to travel giving them a rest advantage for the next round but teams like the Nuggets, Cavs, Blazers, and Celtics have to go cross country at least 2 times? Thats not exactly fair

Matt Sezginer @Mattsez21
I never thought of that. Great point. What if the sixers played LAC then GS next round. Alot of travel time. Big problem

Alex Brehm @ajbrehm24
Silver suggested that they’d add extra days between games to keep that situation mitigated. He also suggested starting the season earlier so overall there would be more rest days

John Karalis @RedsArmy_John
The travel thing is the biggest issue. Imagine the Celtics in a new format drawing the Clippers, the Blazers, and the Warriors in succession? Are we going to make East fans watch 10:30pm starts for half their run or start games at 5pm local time?

Cody Sharrett @CodySharrett
This works, if:

 - shorten reg season to 58 games to balance schedule with every team playing opponents once home and once away

- extend breaks between playoff games/series

So, I’d say it’s not likely.

When the NBA does this it will be the best thing ever because you will be able to finally see matchups that you never thought you would ever see and there will only be a slight chance of seeing the same 2 teams in back to back years...the NFL should definitely take a look at this

Bill Simmons @BillSimmons
It’s been 11 years but we are finally inching closer to my dream of the Entertaining As Hell Tournament - after reg. season ends, 14 playoff seeds are locked, then we have a 16-team single elimination tournament for the last 2 seeds.

A lot happened over the weekend, for instance yesterday was the second time this week that I went to New York City of celebrate my birthday, the first was last Thursday, that was when my sister to be a restaurant on Union Square, I never knew this place existed and it just happens to be called Max Brenner's Chocolate Bar. Now by Bar, I mean a place went you drink and eat as much as you want, mostly chocolate, I had a few chocolates myself, tried the restaurant's signature Brenner Burger, and then my sister and me hoped on over to the Regal Union Square Stadium 14 movie theatre. This place was it and it was also the place where we got to see a King crowned, for we were one of the first people to see Marvel Studios' Black Panther a day before it was released in theaters worldwide. My sister got us tickets in the front row of theater and we saw Black Panther in a technology called "4DX", that allows a motion picture presentation to be augmented with environmental effects such as seat motion, wind, rain, fog, lights, and scents along with the standard video and audio. It was first created by a company in South Korea, so kudos to the South Koreans who creating a movie experience like no other because with it, I saw just how amazing Black Panther really is. For a more visual perspective on both of my trips to the city, Web Choice brings a load of pictures as well as some highlights from the TRL on MTV that I saw being shot live yesterday.
From last Thursday, the Day after Valentine's Day!
You never know what you're going to see in New York City.
A Happy 22nd Birthday, with a terrific Happy Ending.
