Today's UPDATES

Ain't it a wonderful Wednesday? Nothing big happened last night in sports, not too many NBA Games were played and Week 14 of the NFL Season doesn't start until tomorrow. Let's talk about tomorrow's Thursday Night Football game between the New Orleans Saints and Atlanta Falcons, the Saints have let the good times roll for them as they sit on top the AFC South Division with a record of 9-3. The Falcons have been experiencing some Super Bowl hangover during this current season, that loss to the New England Patriots last February has been eating at them for months and they will need a miracle if they want back in to the playoffs and get another shot at a Super Bowl TItle. Right now, the Falcons are in 7th place in the NFC Conference, they can't catch up with the Saints in their own division, so they will have to make pace with the two wild cards teams Seahawks and Panthers. This will be a very pivotal game to watch tomorrow night as well as the games coming on this weekend with a big Sunday Night Football between the PIttsburgh Steelers and their other AFC North rivals, not the Browns or Bengals, the Baltimore Ravens who could be prove to be a tough challenge for the Steelers. With the help of Max Sports, we get another update on the NFL Schedule and Standings where everything is so tight these days.

The news these days has gotten a little cray cray this week, last weekend the GOP passed the Senate Tax Bill, which means you know who is one step closer to finally getting something done this year. The really big news as of late is today's #TwitterTrend are we're going to discuss the fact that Disney is closing i on a deal with 21st Century Fox to acquire most of FOX's assets. This really came to me with a shock of "Oh My God, they're really going there!" and I couldn't imagine a scenario where Fox is run by The Walt Disney Company. It's hard to even imagine this deal becoming a reality, but they said yesterday on CNBC that an announcement for the deal could happen as early as next week. From what I'm understand, Disney could walk away with some important Fox franchises like The Simpsons, Avatar and more important X-Men and Fantastic Four, which means the Marvel Cinematic Universe could expand to be bigger and better than ever. There has been other talks that Disney Could acquire FOX's cable networks, leaving FOX with its news and sports channels and broadcast network. Disney's Animal Kingdom at Walt Disney World Resort already has Pandora - The World of Avatar which is based off the critically acclaim Fox film of the same name, so it would makes since for Disney to acquire the rights to Avatar so they could expand to it other parks. All of this has Marvel fans wondering how the potential merger could affect the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, well we have a couple of tweets that could clarify the whole situation.

A $60B purchase of Fox assets would exceed the total value of ALL disclosed Disney acquisitions:

So much excitement over Marvel getting the rights to their Fox characters back. Yes, very cool. But long-term and from an industry standpoint, this deal is bad. Look beyond your limited fanboy perspectives, y'all.

Everyone’s freaking out about how Disney buying Fox will unite the Marvel movies, but it’ll likely *reduce* the number of superhero movies made per year. They’re expensive!

Philip Asher @pmasher
I wonder if the FOX/Disney merger has factored into Marvel's reluctance to announce any Phase 4 movies yet? Either way, smart move on their part. Can't wait for a Spidey/Wolverine team up. In the mean time -- Infinity War.

El Idiota Genérico @jamesisanerd
I think if the Disney/Fox deal happens they shouldn’t tell anybody and just have Deadpool show up during Avengers: Infinity War. Even if it’s just a post credits cameo. What do you say @VancityReynolds ? #DeadpoolMCU

William Rufus DaMane King @rod4short
I guarantee 76% of Disney’s interest in buying Fox is based on their ownership of Marvel & wanting all Marvel properties back for the post Infinity War MCU

carlos diaz ii @C_RoscoeHarper
If Disney buys Fox that will open the door wide open for the MCU. Tony Stark will die in Infinity War and Reed Richards will be the new brains in the avengers. Maybe take spidey under his wing so he can fully see the good and evil of being a genius. Idk. RDJ dies no matter what

I'd be kinda impressed if Infinity War Part 1 ended with the Fantastic Four and X-Men showing up. KINDA.

The midseason finales of Supergirl and The Flash this week on The CW has got our insides all clustered. Some are calling them the best shockers that Supergirl. First, the arrival of Reign loomed near and it was up to the Girl of Steel to cut the new villain's run short. Kara was already dealing with the fact that Mon-El came back a married man and now has no one for herself anymore, so perhaps punching Reign would make those feeling go away. The fight between Reign and Supergirl was mad ugly, and in the end Reign left Kara beaten, badder, bloodied and broken, so how will Kara response to that attack remains to ee seen until the show comes back in January. The Flash had a lot to offer last night, it was a race against time for Team Flash with with Barry being held captive by DeVoe and Catlin being brought into Amulet's crazy game again. It was all up to Iris West-Allen to save the day by choosing who to save first, Team Flash was able to get to Caitlin and a telepathic metahuman who was also being held captive by Amulet and The Flash did what he does best, run away from trouble. Thanks to the floatation systems in his new suit, Barry landed safely in the waters of Central City while DeVoe sank to his death, or so we fought. It was revealed that Amulet and DeVoe were working together, and then The Thinker transferred his mind into the body of the the telepath named Dominic. But what happened at the end left me in disarray, DeVoe left his old body at Barry and Iris' house which was seen stabbed in the chest. They actually framed Barry for murder and the Fastest Man Alive chose not to run but to let the police take him into custody. The the Legends of Tomorrow just lost Firestorm but were soon met by John Constantine and the Arrow midseason finale hasn't even seen yet, so what else could happen in The CW's DC Universe, Black Lightning premieres January 16th so get set for that one. In the meantime, Web Choice offers the closing moments of both Supergirl and The Flash.
