Today's UPDATES

You gotta love Tuesdays, there was so much winning yesterday that it put a big smile on my face, I can tell you right now the things that made my Tuesday so great, and the things that made it not so great. But for now, let's talk Max Sports, everything is on the line for the teams in NFL playoff contention with the big matchup between the Pittsburgh Steelers and New England Patriots set determine who will lead the AFC Conference. If the Patriots want to clinch the AFC East, then they will have to win on Sunday and hope the Steelers slip up down the stretch of the schedule so they the Pats can retake the #1 Seed in the AFC. Jacksonville Jaguars have a chance to be on in the playoffs for the first time in years, all they have to is win one more game, so do the Minnesota Vikings who came up short last Sunday to win the NFC North. The situation for the Los Angeles Rams is that they need four teams to lose on Sunday and with a matchup with the Seattle Seahawks drawing near, they must be ready to get their game faces on inorder to get the win. Elsewhere in the WWE, it's win or go home for Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn this sunday at Clash of Champions, will they be fired if they don't beat Randy Orton and Shinsuke Nakamura or do they have one last trick up their sleeves. Last night on SmackDown Live, General Manager Daniel Bryan decided to name himself as a second special guest referee for the big tag team match on Sunday to make things quite even for the two teams, but this could have a major effect to whatever agenda Shane McMahon has in stored. All and all, it will be an incredible Sunday for sports fans who have a lot to look forward, and now, here are today's featured results.

It was a night of upsets, Doug Jones did the impossible and gave Roy Moore a run for his own money last night in the special election for Alabama's senate seat. The good news, nobody won by a landslide, the bad news for Republicans, they just lost a big chance to shut up all the critics and hold on to majority of the Senate, but the biggest news of all, the Democrats won a decisive election and have a little more air to breath next year for the 2018 midterm elections. Democrats were just reeling last week with the resigning of Minnesota Senator Al Franken due to sexual nonsense that I will not discuss on this post because I have no place in my blog for such things. The Governor of Minnesota Mark Dayton may appoint someone to take Franken's place a interim Senator until the Special Election is held in 2018 and the front runner for now is Minnesota Lieutenant Governor Tina Smith, but the story that we need to talking about now is the big win by Doug Jones. It was one of the most closely contested races in recent memory and for the first time in decades, Alabama has elected a Democrat to the Senate as Jones will take over the vacated seat Jeff Sessions. One of the big winners in this election were African American voters who gave nearly 96% vote to their vote Jones while over 70% whites went to Moore, so you know see why this election  was important for people of color and diversity. #TwitterTrend's got a boat load of tweets that highlights Doug Jones' victory and they're all awesome.

Charles Barkley on stage with Doug Jones. Barkley said prophetically about 12 years ago, "I was a Republican until the Republicans lost their damn minds."

Emmy Rossum @emmyrossum
See. Every vote counts. Your voice counts. You matter.

Marc Caputo @MarcACaputo
Yes. Roy Moore hid his last week, was accused of being a pedophile, demonized gays, talked about the sin of America, identified with Putin, and spoke fondly of an era when there was slavery. But still. He lost. In Alabama. Wow

Mark Ruffalo @MarkRuffalo
Aww man. I’m gonna sleep better tonight than I did on the night of the Virginia elections. Love to all. Even those who lost.

Bill Clinton @BillClinton

Senator Mazie Hirono @maziehirono
Congratulations to my new colleague, Senator-elect Doug Jones!

Hillary Clinton @HillaryClinton
Tonight, Alabama voters elected a senator who'll make them proud.

And if Democrats can win in Alabama, we can -- and must -- compete everywhere.

Onward!

I have seen people and sports teams win big in so many situations in front of the world. However, Doug Jones' win was so big last night, that it's gotten everyone talking about next year's midterm elections in 2018 and how Trump's presidency is crumbling before our very eyes. Jones was able to a victory speech explaining what he has planned once he is in office next month and how he was grateful to all of the people who gave their votes to him. Donald Trump was able to admit that his man from the GOP party lost fair and square, and showed some respect to Doug Jones, Moore was somewhat unhappy with the results, but he still showed what a good sport he is. Web Choice has scattered across many news channels on YouTube to see what the whole country thinks about the major upset victory that is currently sweeping the nation.
