Today's UPDATES

Baseball is all set and done, for now, I honestly can't wait for the new season to start early next season and see if the Houston Astros can repeat as champions. Our Max Sports coverage of the NFL Season continues and this week in the football was the most pivotal week so far, six team were on a bye week, and the other twenty six took the field yesterday and last Thursday. The New York Giants may have played their worst game of their entire lives, losing to the Los Angeles Rams 51 to 10 at MetLife Stadium, it was like the Giants didn't want to play at all. aThey let all of their fans down and they let themselves down and now their are 1-7 for the season, almost if they are the Cleveland Browns of the NFC Conference. You won't believe what else happened in that game, the Rams' Quarterback Jared Goff passed the ball to Robert Woods for 52 yards and scored a touchdown when the Rams were 3rd & 33 on the 48 yard line in their own territory. Shocking enough is that yesterday, the Philadelphia Eagles scored 51 points over the Denver Broncos' 23 points and are now 8-1 for the season and also in the driver's seat of their NFC East Division and NFC Conference. We are halfway through the season but soon we will have a look at the playoff picture for the NFL, until then, enjoy the following results.

Disgraceful, Disgusting, Despicable, those aren't just three D words I learned from Thomas the Tank Engine & Friends, they are what I am describing the deadly mass shooting which took place at the First Baptist Church in Sutherland Springs, Texas. A small town that is thirty-six miles east of San Antonio has been in chaos yesterday, a gunman killed twenty-six people and injured twenty more in the progress, this was the deadliest shooting in an American place of worship, surpassing the Charleston, South Carolina church shooting of 2015, it was the the deadliest mass shooting in Texas' history. I have spoken heavily about mass shootings, terrorist bombings, and truck attacks that have occurred in the past two years and my response is always the same, and I'm sick and tired of it. The violence has to stop, enough people are dead, families have lost loved ones, the debate about guns will soon rear its ugly head again, we just dealt with the massacre in Las Vegas last month, and last week we spoke about the New York City Terrorist Attack on Halloween, but a shooting at a church might have the last straw of the year. As someone who has been to church in his life, I can't imagine what might if some stranger came through the door and starts killing people, a church is the place worshipping jesus, and people getting shot there is what I said before: Disgraceful, Disgusting and Despicable. So how can we explain to kids or others on what has happened in the small town of Sutherland Springs, a great community with so much hear and soul, this will be the subject of today's #TwitterTrend.

Bryan and Karla Holcombe both graduated from Victoria High. Our condolences to their family, friends.

Where there is evil in the world, there is also good, after the gunman left the church, a local resident armed with a rifle shot at him causing the gunman to flee in his car. Then the resident met up with a nearby driver and together they pursued the perpetrator at high speed. They soon chased the gunman who lost control of his car and drove off the road in the Guadalupe County, once the police arrived, they had discovered that he was found in his car due to a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The driver who helped the local resident has been identified as Johnnie Langendorff who explain on Good Morning America today about how he helped stop the suspect known as Devin Kelley. He told reporters what the experience was like and said these following statements:"I just did what I thought was the right thing," "So that's what I did." "It's just one of those things. Act now, ask questions later." I just acted." After hearing what he has said, I have to agree on this because he is absolutely right, there's no telling where the Devin Kelly would have gone to if he had got away, but thank goodness that there was someone there to help catch him. With children and much older people dead, how is the media reacting to this shooting, Wb Choice has just picked six vidoes, two each from CBS, NBC and ABC whose reporters and TV anchors will tell you their reactions to what was sad day for the people of Sutherland Springs, Texas.
