Today's UPDATES

The National League Wild Card game did not disappoint us last night and the setting for the game could not be any more perfect. Here is Max Sports' full rundown as promised: The Colorado Rockies' starting pitcher Jon Gray was forced out of the game in the second inning after he gave four runs to the Arizona Diamondbacks, three of which came from Paul Goldschmidt's three-run home run in the first inning. The Diamondbacks led 6-0 until the the fourth when their starting pitcher Zack Greinke allowed four runs to the Rockies and was soon pulled out of the game. When the seventh inning, it was 6-5 Diamondbacks and Arizona needed some insurance runs, and they certainly got them, in the final two innings they scored five runs while the Rockies got about three. D-Backs' relief pitcher Archie Bradley hit a triple in the seventh with two runners batted in, he became the first relief pitcher to record a triple in a postseason game, and also the 6th pitcher in MLB history to hit a triple during the postseason. Triples really helped the Diamondbacks lock up a 11-8 victory over the Rockies and not only are the moving to face the Los Angeles Dodgers in NLDS, but they're the first team since the Boston Americans in 1903 to score four triples in a single postseason game. We now have eight teams for the four Division Series being played starting tonight and some of them look like real World Series champions to me, but who will walk away as the one to have won it all?

It has been an emotional week with the devastation that occurred in Las Vegas, Nevada with fifty nine people dead (including the perpetrator) and 489 more injured after the most deadliest mass shooting by a lone shooter in U.S. history took place last Sunday night. We have mourned for the loss of the fifty eight who are dead and we hope and pray that that the 489 will have a full recovery as this act of violence cannot be tolerated anymore. To be on the same side, I am not putting the mass shooting on the Top Ten list today, people want more fun and exciting things on the list than violence, in fact the violence in Las Vegas was so gruesome that the panel for Marvel’s The Punisher set for this Saturday, October 7 at New York Comic-Con has now been canceled, now that doesn't seem right with me. But, Netflix and Marvel have said in a joint statement that they "are stunned and saddened by this week’s senseless act in Las Vegas” and “After careful consideration, Netflix and Marvel have decided it wouldn’t be appropriate for Marvel’s The Punisher to participate in New York Comic-Con, Our thoughts continue to be with the victims and those affected by this tragedy.” With all of that being said, let's get on with the list.

(#06) WWE Hell in a Cell from Detroit airs LIVE this Sunday on PPV and on WWE Network.

(#05) ABC's new series The Mayor scored 4.2 million viewers in its debut last Tuesday.

(#04) The D-Backs beat the Rockies in a 11-8 victory shootout in the NL Wild Card game.

(#03) The Yankees outlasted the Twins last Tuesday with a 8-4 win in AL Wild Card game.

(#02) Fox's animated comedy Bob's Burgers is set to have a feature film in theaters in 2020.

(#01) WWE announced that the famous WarGames will return at the next NXT Takeover.

The following #TwitterTrend may contain spoilers for upcoming WWE NXT events, if you like, you don't have to read this part of the post. As the Number #1 Topic on the Top Ten list says, WWE is planning to bring back a classic match that was originally made famous in NWA and WCW, the WarGames match. COO Triple H announced that this type of match, which has not seen for almost 20 years, would return to wrestling and has named the next NXT TakeOver event after the stipulation. So on November 18th at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas, part of WWE Survivor Series weekend, there will be one just one but two rings setup and will then be enclosed by a large rectangular steel cage  and that's when the fun really begins. Last night, I saw a classic WarGames match at WCW's Fall Brawl pay-per-view in 1997 between the nWo lead by Kevin Nash and the Four Horsemen led by Ric Flair and it got me thinking that WWE must be going all in with this classic match and could not picked a better time to do this. NXT TakeOver in Houston will have its War Games and Survivor Series will have its Traditional 5-on-5 Tag Team Elimination match, making that weekend of wrestling in November Must-See indeed. The tweets down below do not say who is going to compete in WarGames, I hope, but they tell you the reactions from other people including Triple H.
