Today's UPDATES

Game 1, how about Game 1 of the World Series? Last night, the Los Angeles Dodgers did what they do best, win at Dodgers Stadium, with a 3-1 victory over the Houston Astros, Los Angeles is in the driver's seat for now. It is no secret that the Dodgers and Astros are both undefeated in their respective home stadiums as you may know the teams who won in their Division Series celebrated on their opponents' home stadium, and the Astros are at this moment the only team to have a victory celebration on their home field. Tonight is Game 2 of the World Series and it's all about whether or not the Astros can bounce back and tied the series at one game a piece, or will the Dodgers continue their home winning streak. The WWE is gearing up for its Survivor Series weekend in Houston, Texas with NXT TakeOver: War Games on Saturday, November 18th and the 30th Anniversary of Survivor Series on Sunday, November 19th. Last night on SmackDown Live, some people (including me) were hoping that the Raw roster would retaliate after SmackDown invaded their show last Monday night, but no Raw superstars showed up last night on the Blue Brand, but Daniel Bryan warned Shane McMahon that sooner or later, there were will be repercussions for his actions on Raw. Until that time comes, Max Sports will keep you updated with anything that goes on between now and Survivor Series, while also giving you game results like these.

With only 9 Days left until Marvel Studios' Thor: Ragnarok, it's time for some special Marvel news as apart of today's #TwitterTrend. We know Brie Larson will star in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Captain Marvel, she will have her own film on March 8, 2019, and Marvel President Kevin Feige confirmed that Captain Marvel will in some way be apart of Avengers 4 when it hit theaters on May 3, 2019. According to Kevin Feige, "We’re really focusing on 'Captain Marvel’ and the work that (directors) Anna (Boden) and Ryan (Fleck) are doing. It’s going to be a big part of heading towards this epic conclusion and epic finale of 22 movies over the course of 10 years. That is the focus for the next six movies we have to finish and get out. The focus now is on delivering ‘Captain Marvel’ and then bringing Captain Marvel’s story into the finale of everything we’ve started thus far." This could mean that the Captain Marvel film set to be shooting in March next year could be tied to Avengers 4 somehow and that will make things more interesting for the MCU down the line to the finale of Phase Three. Variety has shared some news on who else other than Brie Larson Samuel L. Jackson will be apart of Captain Marvel, Ben Mendelsohn who appeared as the villain for 'Rouge One: A Star Wars Story" and the upcoming “Robin Hood: Origins” film has been in talks with Captain Marvel directors Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck to be their lead villain for the MCU film which is set to take place in the '90s when there was a war between the Skrulls and Kree aliens. Mendelsohn has worked with Boden and Fleck before when they did "Mississippi Grind" and would be interesting to see what this actor brings as the leader of an evil alien species, a few people have commented on this news and here are their tweets to follow.

True news: Ben Mendelsohn (ROGUE ONE) is in talks to play the villain opposite @brielarson in CAPTAIN MARVEL.

Bill Kuchman @billkuchman
If DC doesn’t want to use Ben Mendelsohn as the Joker, I’ll take him in the MCU’s #CaptainMarvel.

Bill Kuchman @billkuchman
I mean, Ben Mendelsohn as LEADER OF THE SKRULLS? How awesome would that be? Hopefully the character will live to further terrorize the MCU.

Daniel Eliesen @Daniel_Eliesen
Unpopular take - I'm not a big Ben Mendelsohn fan.

Ben Mendelsohn as the villain for Captain Marvel? Yes please

I can tell you that last night on television was just as crazy as it was on Monday night, I was watching the Brooklyn Nets, SmackDown Live and The Flash and DC's Legends of Tomorrow on The CW all at the same time. I don't how I manage to watch so many shows and games at once, but I was smart of enough not to watch the opening innings of the World Series, Clayton Kershaw started Game 1 for the Dodgers, while Dallas Keuchel started for the Astros. Kershaw had been having many postseason jitterbugs in his career but in last night's game he pitched a real gem, Chris Taylor hit a home run for the Dodgers on Keuchel's first pitch of the game, making it the third home run to lead off a game in Dodgers postseason history. Alex Bregman was able to tie the game at one by hitting a home run for the Astros in the fourth inning, but then Justin Turner surprised everyone yet again with a two run home run for the Dodgers in the sixth inning allowing them to win 3-1. Believe it or not, the temperature at the start of the game was 103 °F (39 °C), which made it the hottest World Series game ever recorded. For more on these highlights, Web Choice is here to give visual aids on the opening game of the 2017 World Series.
