Today's UPDATES

The MLB Postseason is heating up and so far two have advanced to the League Championship Series. Max Sports can confirm that the Los Angeles Dodgers swept the Arizona Diamondbacks for three games straight and move on to face either the defending World Champions Chicago Cubs or the Washington Nationals. Meanwhile in the American League, the New York Yankees survived getting eliminated last night against the Cleveland Indians after tying the series 2-2, which means that there will be  a game tomorrow night. The Boston Red Sox tried to pull off a last ditch-effort to stave off elimination, but the Houston Astros were able to hold them off in a 5-4 victory yesterday, and now Houston will await the winner of the New York/Cleveland series to determine who will inch closer to becoming World Series Champions. Fun fact: The 2017-18 NBA season tips off next Tuesday and with some of the best players in the league sent to newer teams, the complexion of basketball has now been changed, but the goal to dethrone the NBA Champions Golden State Warriors has not. The WWE moves from Hell in a Cell to TLC: Tables, Ladders and Chairs and in case you missed it (ICYMI) last night, The SHIELD was reunited, Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose did what they do best together as a team, take out the garbage, and oh boy they haven't missed a beat. So now in two weeks, Reigns, Rollins and Ambrose will take on The Miz, Cesaro, Sheamus, and Braun Strowman in a Handicap Tables, Ladders, and Chairs match.

With Marvel's newest film to come out of the Cinematic Universe coming in three weeks time, it worth noting how popular Thor: Ragnarok is, and today's #TwitterTrend has more. According to early reviews on the film, critics have said that it's "The Most Fun You'll Have at a Marvel movie", "ABSOLUTELY ROCKS", "hilarious & weird & offbeat & retro & sublime", " One of the funniest Marvel Studio movies thus far, definitely the best Thor film" and "Magnificent". These critics went to twitter and gave their honest opinions about Thor: Ragnarok, I will love the MCU movies no matter what as some Disney fans hang to Star Wars, I'm one of those Disney fans who are amazed at what they do with Marvel. Rumor has it these days that the sixth and final infinity stone will be revealed in Thor: Ragnarok, some have fought that the soul stone is in possession of Heimdall or Hela, if so, then that would complete the T.H.A.N.O.S. theory that has been going around since the Infinity were introduced in the MCU. It has now been rumored that the stone lies behind the eye patch of Odin, either way, we will be surprised as to how this film will have big implications for Avengers: Infinity War. In the meantime, see what these tweeters have to say about Thor's third film in theaters.

Loved ‘Thor: Ragnarok’. @TaikaWaititi did an awesome job. Movie is loaded with his trademark humor. Laughed beginning to end.

Thor Ragnarok is one of the funniest Marvel Studio movies thus far, definitely the best Thor film. Loved Mark Mothersbaugh’s score.

Mike Ryan @mikeryan
With THOR: RAGNAROK, Marvel finally realized Chris Hemsworth is hilarious and let him be funny the whole movie. It's *almost* a comedy.

Conner Schwerdtfeger @ConnerWS
I just saw #ThorRagnarok and Marvel has 100% done it again. Great action, tons of laughs, and some fantastic superhero action.

Kevin Polowy @djkevlar
THOR RAGNAROK is hilarious & weird & offbeat & retro & sublime. Love how Marvel let Taika Waititi make a movie that's Waititi-ish as hell.

Haleigh Foutch @HaleighFoutch
#ThorRagnarok is laugh out loud funny from start to finish. Stumbles a bit in the first act, but it triumphs when it gets weird with it.

Rick Damigella @LinerNotes

In other news last night, a wildfire broke out in Northern California killing at least eleven people and leaving about 1,500 homes and businesses destroyed in the progress. I hop and pray that the California are safe now for with the number of disasters hitting the United States, it's tricky to know when and how to be prepared. But on a high note, the new trailer for Star Wars: The Last Jedi was released last night during halftime of Monday Night Football. As you can see in the new trailer, Kylo Ren (played by Adam Driver) has himself a scar that was inflected on him from The Force Awakens. This young Sith Lord has found a high tech way to heal the scars left from his last battle from the 2015 film and a lot of people are talking about it. I wonder if some people are talking about Luke Skywalker's mechanical right hand, that was a little surprising to me, plus we got to see the late great Carrie Fisher as General Leia Organa, which will be her final appearance on film after her death from last year. I'm in some sort of a bubble because I don't know if I should head to the theaters and see The Last Jedi when it comes out in December, I've been looking forward to Thor: Ragnarok and Justice League for a long time now. But anyway, Web Choice brings to you, the readers of #KlicKNet, the new trailer and new poster of Disney/Lucasfilm's Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi.
