Today's UPDATES

I've been waiting for this week to happen, and now it has finally commenced. I have a big story from last Friday to discuss today and it completely blew me away. We won't be talking any politics, namely healthcare, at least for today, with this be the last week in September, I want to make it a fun one. To kick things off, Max Sports has a bundle of results and updates on the current MLB Standings, the New York Yankees and Arizona Diamondbacks, two rivals from the 2001 World Series, clinched playoff berths this past weekend. The Yanks are prime position to take the first wild card spot in American League with the chances winning the AL East very unlikely now, the Diamondbacks locked up home field advantage for the NL Wild Card game, now it's only a matter of who will these two will be playing when the MLB Postseason next week. The Los Angeles Dodgers with 99 wins have finally clinched the NL West, but that isn't the biggest story in Los Angeles as the superstars of WWE Monday Night Raw were ready to show No Mercy. Only one new champion was crowned under heavy circumstances, the Big Dog Roman Reigns added another big name to his list of accomplishments in John Cena, and the Beast Brock Lesnar wasn't already to give up the Universal Championship just yet and gave Braun Strowman a run for his money, the big question now is, where does Brock Lesnar go from here? Finally, many NFL players, owners, coaches and staff members took a knee during the national anthem during every game yesterday after Donald Trump made some racist comments about the league last weekend, I don't know if I support but the players seem right fully so to do it. With all of that being said, let's get on with last weekend's results.

Last Friday when I was wrapping up a long week of posts last week, we found out some big news regarding the upcoming four-way crossover between Supergirl, Arrow, The Flash and DC's Legends of Tomorrow on The CW. It's the subject of today's #TwitterTrend, I wanted so much to talk about this last Friday but I already finished up the #fakeTV Top Ten, and let me tell you this, I was beside myself with such joy and I bet everyone else was. The title of the crossover will be called "Crisis on Earth X", what is Earth X, well as well all know that The Flash introduce the DC multiverse back in Season 2 and we learned that Supergirl is part of it on Earth 38 while Flash, Arrow and the Legends are Earth One, that is a big problem to me because I feel that Supergirl needs to be in the same world as the entire Arrowverse. As for Earth X, it's an earth where the Nazis won World War II and it's been turned into a war zone ever since, the premise of the crossover event goes like this: “With all of the heroes in town to celebrate Barry and Iris’s wedding, villains from Earth-X crash the festivities with a deadly agenda." I wonder what that deadly agenda could be but is can't be good, maybe just maybe they're try to find a way to merge Earth X with Earth One, it may sound impossible but that would be real awesome to see. One other thing to know about is that Russell Tovey will play Ray Terrill / The Ray in the CW Seed Animated Freedom Fighters: The Ray, will star in the crossover as the same character before then. The tweets were piling up since Friday with the announcement that this crossover has gone into production last week and here are a ton you have to see.

Finally to close things, I want to remind everyone that tonight is somewhat the official start of the Fall Primetime Television Season. I've got only one show to look forward to tonight and that's Comedy Central's The Opposition w/ Jordan Klepper. It's quite fitting that this companion series to The Daily Show with Trevor Noah would air this week as we are promised another week of Drama in Washington, D.C, but The Opposition would be cover mainstream media, instead it will satirize what is to be  called alt-right media, something I very interested in learning. Luckily, I'll get a first taste of what it all means and will see how Jordan Klepper will amke this a thing on his new show. Ever since the cancellation of The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore, a hole has been left in the 11:30PM of Comedy Central, somewhere that one hour late night funnies was missing from my life as well as the lives of others, but now we can all look forward as to how much The Daily Show and The Opposition will work with one another, one thing is for sure, no news is safe. Web Choice was able to find new things regarding the show last Friday; Jordan Klepper made an appearance on NBC's Late Night with Seth Meyers and Splitsider.com revealed a first look at the set of The Opposition.
