Today's UPDATES

Hope every had a peaceful September 11th yesterday and while Hurricane Irma (turned Tropical Storm Irma) is still impacting the southeastern of the United States, we can look for a bit of normal. I wonder want we'll get to see today on Big News Tuesday, first thing's first, we have to discuss sports news with a little Max Sports style to it. Last night, the NFL hold two Monday Night Football games starting with the Minnesota Vikings outlasting the New Orleans Saints at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, the it was the Denver Broncos' turn to win their season home opener with a game-winning field goal block to the Los Angeles Chargers at Sports Authority Field at Mile High. Moving on to the MLB, one team is been a hot winning streak and that's the Cleveland Indians who have now won nineteen straight games, and if you don't believe then you should see their twitter account. Believe this if you will, the New York Yankees defeated the Tampa Bay Rays at Citi Field in Flushing, New York, how the hell dis that happen? It's all because of the threat of Hurricane Irma in Florida forcing the Rays to relocate their current series with the Yankees and if this weren't enough the Rays are the home team at Citi Field. But Tampa Bay are grateful that the New York Mets could lend them their stadium for this one series as the devastation caused by Irma has left some people in Florida homeless.

The Broncos field goal block has been heard around the world as it caps off the first week of action in the 2017 NFL Season. Lats night's Chargers-Broncos game is the subject of today's #TwitterTrend, the Chargers' first regular season game as a Los Angeles team did not go well, they were trailing by one touchdown at halftime with the Broncos leading 14-7. Then in the third quarter, the Chargers were trailing 24-7, it would have taken one last comeback in them to turn things around and they almost pulled it off. With 8:14 left in the fourth and final quarter, the Chargers were able to get two back to back touchdowns, bringing the Broncos' lead to 24-21, and at the final few seconds of the game, the table had turned, or so the Chargers fought. Rookie placekicker Younghoe Koo of the Chargers attempted to kick a 44 yard field goal with five seconds left in the game, but he was blocked by defensive end Shelby Harris from the Broncos, this would cap off a 24-21 home win for Denver. Of course, the Broncos are said to have the toughest schedule this season, but they seemed quite good last night, however the season is just getting started. Check out some of the highlights from this late evening showdown through these tweets online.

This Just In: J.J. Abrams has been announced as the new director of Star Wars Episode IX. This comes after last week when Colin Trevorrow stepped down as director due to the fact that he was becoming difficult to work with as Lucasfilm put it at best that it was right for them to part ways with Trevorrow . But it just goes to show that Big News Tuesday is the place to be for the director of Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens is coming back to take helm of the third installment of Disney's Star Wars Trilogy. The news first broke out on Deadline.com and according to them "Disney and Lucasfilm are courting another director for an encore, the one who relaunched the franchise to dizzying heights." I say that The Force Awakens brought new life into the Star Wars franchise thanks to the collaboration of both Disney and Lucasfilm, but it has had a recurring theme to loosing director as you well remember the Han Solo spinoff lost Phil Lord & Chris Miller as its directors and the duo was replaced by Ron Howard way back in the summer. J. J. Abrams will also co-write it with Chris Terrio and in a statement from Lucasfilm CEO Kathleen Kennedy, "With The Force Awakens, J.J. delivered everything we could have possibly hoped for, and I am so excited that he is coming back to close out this trilogy." Web Choice has looked for the best videos showing fans' reactions to this story and it has found a few that you need to see right now.
