One week and a half of summer vacation and all you kids, teenagers and young adults better get ready for the school. Me, I've been out of school for three years now and things have changed in these difficult times, soon I'm gonna have to get a job, but my family is still looking for a special program for me. On the sports side of things, the NFL regular season is drawing nearer and nearer and fans are getting rowdier and rowdier, they want football now, and so do I. As always, Max Sports will be giving its take what's coming our way during the NFL season, we'll take a look at the kickoff game between the Super Bowl Champions New England Patriots and a contender to the title this season, the Kansas City Chiefs. Next monday, it's time to find what the MLB Playoff Picture, honestly I have not been paying close attention but I guarantee that you will be blown away with what you see.

By now we all know the damage that Hurricane Harvey has caused in the lower part of the state pf Texas. It is an active tropical cyclone that has caused unprecedented and catastrophic flooding in Southeast Texas to be exact, and it all started on Friday. This storm has broken a couple of records, this is the first major hurricane to make landfall in the United States since Wilma in 2005 and by doing so it ends a 12-year period with no major hurricanes making landfall in the United States for that amount of time. Harvey is the first hurricane to hit Texas since Ike in 2008 and the strongest hurricane to hit the Gulf of Mexico since Rite in 2005, it also joins Matthew as one of two US hurricanes to have caused extreme wind warnings due to tornado like winds. Throughout Texas, more than 300,000 people have been left without electricity thanks to Harvey, Houston has suffered the the worst from this storm, 704 flights at George Bush Intercontinental Airport and 123 at William P. Hobby Airport were canceled, for a total 825 flights. According to some news sources like the National Weather Service, five people have been killed in the storm and the floodings are being called "catastrophic and life-threatening", all of this proves that we should stand strong his moments like these. Finally for our Web Choice topic, we're going to discuss MTV, a network that is looking recapture the glory it once had. We can expect big things from the network this Fall, with returning classics like Unplugged coming September 8th and the all-new Total Request Live (TRL) in Times Square on October 2nd. We all know that MTV stands for Music Television and people have been wondering when they are going to put the M back in MTV, and this could be the way to do it, so I'll be following the return of TRL very closely. In the meantime, how bout last night's MTV Video Music Awards, Katy Perry was excellent as the host and made it an out-of-this-world experience as promised. We got a handful of performances that your ears were listening to joy, my favorite had to be Demi Lovato performing "Sorry Not Sorry" from the Palms Casino Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada, it was a real pool party. Kendrick Lamar kicked off the show with a fiery performance with songs such as "DNA" and "Humble", and won six VMAs, the most of the night. Lots of stars were on the red carpet including the new 5 co-hosts of TRL, but it's all about the music and musicians to make it for us, you would not even believe how DNCE lid it up with Rod Stewart, singing "Do Ya Think I'm Sexy". For the best moments of last night's VMAs, watch these vidoes and you will indeed be amazed with what you see.
