#fakeTV FRiDAY: Inside the Vault

This is the last Friday in August so let's make it count, we've got the 2017 MTV Video Music Awards coming this Sunday LIVE from The Forum in Inglewood, and it's all hosted by the one and only Katy Perry. We have bare witness to some of most shocking news this week such as the Solar Eclipse and the Cavs-Celtics Blockbuster trade, the one piece of news I want to talk about now is about telling the news from a different point of view that has never been done before. Comedy Central has been making preparations for its new late night series which is a spin-off to The Daily Show with Trevor Noah, you know it by now as The Opposition with Jordan Klepper. The show starts September 25th, the same week when the second season of The InZane Club begins, and we know so far is that The Opposition's host Jordan Klepper and his own team of correspondents will satirize the alternative media landscape on both sides. On Wednesday, Comedy Central revealed the first official promo for The Opposition and Deadline.com revealed what might as well be the first set of correspondents;  a quintet of comedians has been tapped in the form of Kobi Libii and Tim Baltz, alums from Chicago's Second City, along with Josh Sharp, Aaron Jackson and Laura Grey, three of which from the Upright Citizens Brigade in New York and the latter being Klepper's wife. At this moment, Comedy Central has not made a official statement to the press, but spokesperson from the network has said that “We are currently in the process of casting the contributors for The Opposition with Jordan Klepper and will make an announcement about who they are and their role on the show once casting is complete.”
While it may take early next month for The Opposition to get everything ready for its September 25th premiere, the progress of The InZane Club's season two has been coming along fine. Seven episodes have been written with the last six soon to be done by the end of next month, all I can say about the new season is that the celebrity appearances are not easy easy to find and I have to up with new ones every week. For today's #fakeTV Inside the Vault edition, I'm going to explain more details on this made-up sketch comedy takes place in the setting of a party club. Celebrity guests are the most important part of any television series out there, it gives people another reason to watch their favorite shows wherever they are. Saturday Night Live is well known for having actors, comedians, musicians, and even politicians come on as Guest Host for the week, and I didn't want The InZane Club to be like SNL-esque kind of show so to speak. It takes place in more of fictional world where Kyrie is a character with a nickname played by me who is trying to take charge of all craziness over at the club which was established since 2012 and is for ages 16 and up. Age sixteen is hwnr teenagers likely start high school, and I enjoyed playing around with that bit because the show is more for families as it is for young adults. Moving back to the celebrities, I include them in some of the sketches and they regularly appear in the last segment called the Game Lounge, watching actors compete against each other in odd ball challenge is truly entertaining and you might know a little bit more about them. Well that's it for today, be sure to watch the VMAs this Sunday on MTV and check out the first ever promo for The Opposition on Comedy Central, plus another video from The Daily Show of what could be Jordan Klepper's farewell episode.
