Today's Updates: D23 Expo Edition

Today's UPDATES
D23 EXPO Edition

Believe me, you're not seeing things, of course, there will be pictures and videos for you to see later, but anyway, this is really happening. #KlicKNet presents a Sunday Edition of Today's Updates dedicated to the Disney D23 Expo that has taken place this weekend. I've been sitting around at home waiting to see all the announcements that were made at Expo for them to be put online as they happen and I've gotta say, I know understand what means to be a Disney fan. The Expo held three important presentations to explain the future projects for the The Walt Disney Company, on Friday was the Pixar and Walt Disney Animation Studios: Upcoming Films panel, then yesterday were The Walt Disney Studios Live Action panel, and finally the Walt Disney Parks and Resorts. So the way this is going to work is that we're going to look at all the things that were announced from movies to park attractions in three separate edition of WebChoice and then round up the best moments from the Expo in an exclusive Top Ten List, sounds fun right? Then let's get things started.

First up is the Pixar and Disney Animation Panel where Chief Creative Officer John Lasseter had promised that "They were going to show us things that no one has seen outside the walls of our studio", and that's exactly what they did by showing new details and footage on upcoming films like Ralph Breaks the Internet, The Incredibles 2, Toy Story 4, Coco, and the 21-minute featurette, Olaf's Frozen Adventure. They announced a new untitled Pixar film directed by Dan Scanlon which will be centered on a suburban fantasy world and a DisneyToon Studios film set to be released April 12, 2019. Joining Lasseter on stage were Kirsten Bell and Josh Gad from Frozen who sang “That Time of Year” which is one of the new songs from Frozen Adventure. There was Sarah Silverman. the voice of Vanellope von Schweetz in Wreck-It Ralph 2, who along with directors Rich Moore and Phil Johnston revealed that Taraji P. Henson would play a new character named Yesss and also the voices of almost every Disney Princess that has every been put on the big screen will make a cameo in this new Ralph film along with characters from Marvel and Star Wars. If that isn't big enough, then how about the original voice actresses of each Princess such as Kirsten Bell, Auli‘i Cravalho, Mandy Moore, Paige O’Hara, Jodi Benson, Anika Noni Rose  Irene Bedard and Linda Larkin were up on stage to entertain the crowd. Josh Cooley was revealed as the sole director for Toy Story 4, the cast of The Incredibles 2 assembled, and we heard music from Coco by Anthony Gonzalez and Benjamin Bratt, for more on these stories, check out the photos and videos below.

Moving on to The Walt Disney Studios Live Action Presentation, I call it twice as exciting as the Animation Presentation as we learned what else is to come for Disney on the big screen. A live-action version of that cute little elephant names Dumbo  was officially announced to be in theaters March 29, 2019. Also set for 2019 are Captain Marvel, Avengers 4, Toy Story 4, the live-action Lion King, Frozen 2, and the live-action Mulan which has been pushed by to November 2, 201The 9. Coming in 2018 next year will be the untitled Han Solo movie, The Incredibles 2, A Wrinkle in Time, Avengers: Infinity War, Black Panther, Ant-Man & The Wasp, and get this, The Nutcracker and the Four Realms. Appearing on Live-Action stage were the casts from different movies as we saw newest Disney Legend Oprah Winfrey, director Ava DuVernay, and co-stars Reese Witherspoon, Mindy Kaling, Chris Pine, and Storm Reid from A Wrinkle in Time. That's not all, there was also Emily Blunt and the director of Mary Poppins Returns Rob Marshall, Director Jon Favreau who offered a teaser for The Lion King and Lil Buck  showed off a dance which can only be seen in The Nutcracker film. But it would be the D23 Expo without Star Wars and Marvel as we got to see the casts of both Star Wars: The Last Jedi and Avengers: Infinity War offer some details and footage on their respective films and there are some many stars in each films, it would be difficult to say them all one at a time.. Now we they didn't show any of the new film footage because as you can well imagine, it's classified, so here are highlights from the Expo that showcase Day 2.
