Today's UPDATES

I'm just gonna say it right now, Tuesday are my new favorite days of the week, you know why? Because you got some pretty darn good news yesterday revolving around the Television Critics Association's summer tour and we're going discuss that event later on in the post. In the meantime, one story that has gone on a sour note was the Senate's vote to advance their chances of having a heath care debate. But it still known what heath care bill they going to put into to play, so once again, things are hardly getting down on Capitol Hill. Moving on to something much lighter, our MaxSports story today is talk the trades going around during the MLB Season and the NBA off-season, baseball players like Yu Darvish, Sonny Gray, Justin Verlander, Giancarlo Stanton and Zach Britton.are all up for grabs between and next week which when the MLB Trade Deadline will occur and NBA teams making a good progress of acquiring fresh and new players for the upcoming fall season. Derrick Rose has moved from New York to CLeveland, Rajon Rondo has moved from Chicago to New Orleans, Kelly Olynyk went from Boston to Miami, and the two most biggest moves were Paul George going to Oklahoma City and Chris Paul going to Houston. We will more trading moves from both sports league at a later date, let's get to some results.

For our #TwitterTrend topic, we will talked about Comedy Central's presence at the Television Critics Association's summer press tour. The network is planning big things for it lineup of shows, extending freshman series The Jim Jefferies Show and the somehow popular President Show to additional episodes this fall, and giving out big news involving The Daily Show. I'm now going to list the three most popular news from Comedy Central yesterday from least to most, first up, the network will air a one-hour sketch comedy special created by the group known as Goatface: Hasan Minhaj, Asif ALi, Aristotle Athiras, and Fahim Ahim will star in the new the special as well as direct, write and produce it. Even though there's no big election in November, The Daily Show with Trevor Noah is hitting the road on October 16th through the 19th for a whole week at the Athenaeum Theatre in Chicago, Illinois, the reason for this maybe because host Trevor Noah is performing stand-up at the Chicago Theatre on October 20th and 21st. Finally, the biggest news out of the TCA is the fact that Jordan Klepper's new late night show weeknights at 11:30PM has a new name and a premiere date, get ready for The Opposition with Jordan Klepper on September 25th. According to the press, it "will satirize the hyperbolic, conspiracy-laden noise machine that is the alternative-media landscape on both the right and left", Klepper has described it as "Alex Jones Meets Garrison Keillor" and will build "around a faux alt-right host, taking cues from outlets such as Infowars, Breitbart News, and The Blaze". The show will be somewhat similar to its companion The Daily Show, by being in-studio and featuring correspondents as citizen journalists. Mainstream outlets have tweeted real good about these projects for Comedy Central and It's only right to look at a few of them on this post.

Finally for our WebChoice topic, let's talked about the nominations for the 2017 MTV Video Music Awards that were announced yesterday. The awards will be held LIVE from The Forum area in Inglewood, California on August 27th on MTV. Singer Kendrick Lamar leads the show with eight nominations in Video of the Year, Artist of the Year, Best Hip Hop Video, Best Cinematography, Best Choreography, Best Direction, Best Art Direction, and Best Visual Effects. Meanwhile, Katy Perry and The Weeknd tied with the second most nominations, having at least five of them. Now in case you haven't notice, but the Best Male Video and Best Female Video have been merged together to form Artists of the Year in order to eliminate gender-specific awards categories. The MTV Movie & TV Awards did the same thing back in May when combining performers of both genders in categories like Best Actor in a Movie and Best Actor in a Show. I kinda like this idea because by putting the men and women together in just one category instead separate ones, you have the perfect flavor of diversity and viewers will have a more decent reason to keep voting.
