MaxSports Monday

The Democratic National Convention starts Today and the party that will nominate Hillary Clinton will first go through the healing process and begin to unite. We're going to be talking about conventions all week long with big news coming out of the Comic-Con International event in San Diego, California, but this is MaxSports Monday, and we talk about sports events. About two weeks was Nickelodeon's 2016 Kids Choice Sports Awards and I said would explore the highlights last week, but with everything that happened with the Republican Convention, I completely forgot about the KCS. Stephen Curry got into a Slime Ballers game with fellow Splash Brother Klay Thompson while winning awards for Clutch Player of the Year and Sickest Moves, Super Bowl rivals Russell Wilson and Rob Gronkowski raced up the smash mountain to win big; they also won awards for their talents in football. Kobe Bryant got the biggest honor of all with Legend Award and was also given a royal sliming, for more enjoy these photos and videos.

Hopefully by now you're all caught with Kids Choice Sports, now let's get down to what went down this past weekend. The 2016 MLB Season is nearing the Trade Deadline and teams who want to make a run for postseason will need all the help they can get. Former New York Mets catcher Mike Piazza was finally an inductee in the Hall of Fame: Class of 2016, the Mets are planning something fantastic for him over the next weekend they play in Citi Field. Last night marked the beginning of a new era in the WWE when superstars took the stage in Washington, D.C. for Battleground. After people had been drafted to Raw and SmackDown last Tuesday, the Brand Split would not be in effect until after Battleground, and last night so much bad blood was finally put to rest. The stars who shined brightly were Sasha Banks, Sami Zayn, Dean Ambrose and the debuting Bayley, no body put on a show quite like these four and I know that they bring the house down every week on Raw and SmackDown.
