Last Night, Nickelodeon gave viewers a first look at its new live-action series Bella and the Bulldogs which follows a head cheerleader whose life takes an unexpected twist when she becomes the starting quarterback of her middle school football team in Texas. The series is scheduled to premiere in January 2015. Led by newcomer Brec Bassinger, a Saginaw, Texas native and big football fan herself, as Bella, the show also features an off-beat ensemble of characters who surround Bella with their own brand of quirks and humor. The show is filled with great comedy about balancing two worlds, being in middle school, navigating friendships and, of course, sports.
