Project Cyclone is the third special of the television series Rhodey, NY. It is a Mini-series of four episodes with the last two aired together as an hour long episode. Each episode premiered from September 12 –26, 2014 on Nickelodeon.



Synopsis

The season features a mini-series of four episodes entitled “Project Cyclone” where a rich model builder (portrayed by Dan Schneider) holds a modeling contest at Mystic Adventure. The winning design will be used to create a new themed area at the park. Throughout the storyline, Rhodey, Rosey, Sid (who applied for a job at the park prior) and many other employees participates intending to beat the man at his own game. After Rosey is caught faking an injury she accused of cheating and is disqualified from the contest. Sid and Andre want to investigate on who the real culprit is, but Rhodey decides to continue on his work. Days before the final round, Rhodey’s model smashed by a blue colored boulder: so he uses his wits to go forward by using a pre-built model. At first, Sid and Andre think a teenager named Wallace is the one cheating but soon discover it was the rich man that framed Rosey and broke Rhodey’s first design. He is also using illegal toy bricks for his model. Together, Rhodey, Sid and Andre prove the man as a complete fraud and win the contest.

Plot

Part 1 – #Challenge

A rich model builder named Duncan Turner (Dan Schneider) holds a modeling contest at Mystic Adventure. The winning design will be used to create a new themed area at the park. Rhodey, Rosey, Sid and many other employees participates intend to beat the Turner at his own game. Rhodey decides to go deeper into the man’s work but may have found more than he could bargain for.



Part 2 – #Fakeover
When Rosey gets hurt on the job, she threatens to take legal action unless her employer, Ms. T, agrees to cater her every need. Ms. T, who gets tired of doing everything for Rosey, hires Rhodey to investigate the scene. It is later revealed that Rosey is lying and she is disqualified from the modeling contest for being accused of cheating. As punishment, Rosey must now cater for Ms. T.

Part 3 – #Secrets
After the events of the previous episode, Sid and Andre want to investigate on who framed Rosey for cheating during the model contest, but Rhodey decides to continue on his work. But days before the final round, Rhodey’s project is smashed by a blue colored boulder; so he uses his wits to go forward with a new model. Later, Sid and Andre find out who the real cheater is. 

Part 4 – #Winners
In the finale of Project Cyclone, Sid and Andre discover it was Duncan Turner that framed Rosey for cheating and broke Rhodey’s first model design. He is also using illegal toy bricks for his model. So together, Rhodey and co. prove the man as a complete fraud in order to win the contest.

Production

The mini-series was to honor creator Dan Schneider for winning the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2014 Kids’ Choice Awards. Production had run from May to early July 2014 with a premiere set for September 2014. The title “Project Cyclone” comes from the Cyclone roller coaster in Coney Island, NY.
