Rhodey, NY is an American teen sitcom that premiered May 25, 2013 on
Nickelodeon. It is a spin-off/sequel of NickCam. It stars Kwame Alexander as
Rhodey Wilde (from NickCam), Maunda Alexander as Rosey Kenseth (also from
NickCam) and Leon Thomas III as his character from Victorious Andre Harris. The
three now live in New York and go on bizarre adventures.
Plot
Rhodey
Wilde (Kwame Alexander from NickCam) and his cousin Rosanne Kenseth (Maunda
Alexander from NickCam) move to New York City after the end of NickCam. They
meet Andre Harris (Leon Thomas III from Victorious) and a bunch of talentful
new friends who live in the same condo home. After the cousins get jobs at the
opening of a new park called “Mystic Adventure”, they find ways to survive the
big city in bizarre adventures.
Each episode opens and closes (similar to Kenan &
Kel) with the cast interacting with an audience at a club. They would stand in
front of a curtain and a video screen presenting each episode on “Studio
RNY.com”, a spin-off website to “NickCam.com”. The closings would frequently
feature the cast coming up with a new scheme – often asking Rhodey to get
various assorted items and meet them somewhere. Frazzled, Rhodey would have the
items behind the curtain and do all of sorts of crazy things with them.
